Good for short distances

Generally a good product. Great for bow hunting but not so good for long distances (greater than 200 yds). Greater than 200 yards needs a solid reflective surface (not a tree, clump grass, etc.).

i ordered this rangefinder for bowhunting becuase it has the arc in it. It absolutley works great!!! havent gotten a chance yet though to range a critter! over all feels and works great

Not good for hunting.

I used it for three weeks this Nov. 2011. It worked great on a perfectly clear day but if there was any kind of fog or haze in the air it wouldn't work at all. That means on those really good early morning hunts it was worthless. I have two other bushnell rangefinders and I know that fog will affected them but when this one stopped working they worked just fine.
I returned it and I'm going to try the Redfield Raider 550. It couldn't be any worse and ARC is not necessary. Most people aren't setting over 30 feet in the air or shooting a bow that is so slow that one yard is going to make a difference in how they aim.

Simple and easy to use

I'm very happy with this finder, exactly what i needed . Something simple that I could use without having to go to college in order to understand it, you aim, press that buttom and read distance, is that simple, I don't like to get complicated with ballistic calculations, rain mode, etc, since where I hunt is ussually very dense this range finder is all I need, I owned a Leupold RX II and gave it to a friend because I found it too complicated, maybe I'm not smart enough when it comes to these toys but this range finder is all I need to place an arrow or a slug. I highly recomend it.
