Kolpin® Lock-it Rite ATV System

Engineered to eliminate the need for unreliable and cumbersome tie-down straps, the Guard Dog locks your ATV into the back of your pickup for safe and hassle-free transport. The unique design attaches to your truck’s 2" receiver hitch and then to a 2" hitch ball (not included) on the rear of your ATV.  Rated for 2,000 lb. towing weight and 250 lb. tongue weight, the built-in Class 1 receiver still allows towing of small, lightweight trailers. The Guard Dog restricts side- to-side shifting and eliminates forward and backward movement of the ATV. Also keeps loading ramps from sliding out and deters theft. Heavy-duty steel construction resists the harsh effects of weather and road debris. Adjustable design fits most trucks.

one of the best inventions ever!! I use mine all the time. Dont even have to strap wheeler down if you use the guard dog!

I was very skeptical in using due to the fact I didn't want the weight of my atv riding on the tailgate. But, my new atv necessitated the purchase since the tailgate would not close. With the adjustments on the hitch, I keep my atv forward enough to remain off of the tailgate as I choose. Very quick, easy and reliable. Much quicker and trust more than my old ratchet straps.

I purchased the guard dog hitch to make my life simplier and safe. I am able to load my artic cat 500 into my F-350 shortbed by myself with the use of cabelas long tri fold ramps and the guard dog hitch. I'm safe. There are no straps to pull on my 700 lb machine, just load it, lock it and go. I travel bumpy roads and trails to get to my favorite hunting spot and my ATV stays secure. I did have to visit a hitch place to redrill the holes so the pins would slide in properly. They did not charge me. Excellent product !!
