Both of these well-rounded rod holders feature RAM’s patented ball-and-socket as well as a ratchet action for unlimited rod positioning. Available:
The Cradle-Style Revolution’s over-center bail latch is fast and reliable. The open-side design permits fast removal by pushing down on the rod butt and sliding it out. Front notch for pistol-grip reels. Fits casting, trolling and spinning reels and all rods up to 1-1/2" in diameter.
The Tube-Style Revolution solidly holds straight-handled rod/reel setups. It’s perfect for drifting fast rivers, big water and for trolling with downriggers and planer boards.
The mounting bracket has a rubberized ball joint that allows the rod holder to pivot 360 degrees. This joint, even with me tightening it as tight as possible would not hold the rod holder tube in place when mild-to-moderate pressure was applied. Luck for me i was able to pivot the tube where the bottom rest on the floor of my boat which in turn made it stable enough to use.
These rod holders are a bit bulky at first glance. I bought these because I didnt like how on most rod holders it was cumbersome to remove the rods during a strike. The tubes made it easy to use different rods ( spinning/ultralite/baitcast) without difficulty. They are easily positioned and stay where you put them. Awesome product!
I installed two of these rod holders. I like the ball joint, as it gives me unlimited angle adjustment. The construction seems heavy duty, and with spare ball sockets I can easily re-locate my holders to my other boat.
Having used several RAM Mount products over the years, these Revolution Rod Holders live up to the exceptional quality, durability and performance that I'm used to. They stand up to the harsh saltwater environment and are easy to use.
