We’ve updated the style of our proven, value-minded rainwear to give you even better wet-weather protection. The lightweight nylon shell is coated with a durable water-repellent treatment and has heat-tape-sealed seams for infallible moisture-beading performance. The Parka has a mesh lining to wick away perspiration. Hook-and-loop-adjustable hood and cuffs add an extra measure of defense against the rain. It packs into one of two large front chest pockets. Two zippered pockets with storm flaps. One-handed shock-corded adjustments on hood and bottom hem. Imported.

I bought this one and very happy with it. I wore it on a pretty heavy rain and it kept me dry. It is light and and it is great. The pockets are designed to be high up closed to your chest as some reviewers mentioned. I think the pockets are designed like that for deep pockets for storage (keep things in the zipper pockets from wet when it rains), but not for putting/resting your hands in the pockets. Personally, I like this deep pocket design. They are handy to keep my stuffs dry when it rains heavily.

I have an ancient set of Cabela's rain parka and pants that have seen better days. They're also a bit too warm for the summer when I'm outside for work. So, I tried this for "3-season" rain protection. In my work, I often am in backhoe trenches examining soil and it can be cold and wet. So far, I have only tried the parka on and am very satisfied. I ordered small because I didn't want a bulky fit and this is just right to fit over a single clothing layer. The maroon color is nice, the hood appreciated and the velcro wrist closures desirabe. A few have complained about the high pockets but they seem okay to me. I can stuff a folded map or field chart in there if not comfortably rest my hands. Also, the parka is extremely packable so I see it as suitable for summer hikes. Good value here.

Bought one for me and the wife. We are both highly pleased.
Lightweight and keeps the rain off. We're in oregon so we know what we're talking about as far as rain!
Able to store it in bundle by turning inside out and stuff in pocket.
Pocket is high up which is great when wading - keeps my camera dry as a bone!
You won't be sorry!

This is one of the best jackets I have ever bought. I have even bought the for everyone in my family. They are true shell jackets, they do not have a lining that makes you sweat like crazy. They are very lightweight and fit inside any type of bag/case/backpack you want to carry. They are totally waterproof and windproof very comfortable to wear. Everyone should have one of these. Oregon is known for misting rain that falls all day but never gets any colder than long sleeve shirt weather- this jacket does the trick for everyday wear without any problems. I highly recommend it to everyone. If you find them on sale grab them for the family and your cars, they are worth every penny.
