Worth the money

Definitely recommend this. Was tired of buying in-epensive raingrear that "CLAIMED" to be breathable! Took the plunge, and happy I did. If you buy the liner as well.....you can use this gear for ice fishing too! Totally cuts the wind, has plenty of pockets and room. I also bought the pants that go with them. I normally wear a L to XL, but got a 2XL.....because I new I would try using them for ice fishing, and would need to layer up. Only downfall with the pants.....they do NOT hav zippers at the bottom, so tough to pull on over boots.

EXV parka

I have had this for 1 yr now
It is completely waterproof as I learned after watching an entire soccer game in a medium to heavy rain. The fabric seems tough and not likely to tear on a bush /branch, etc
The nylon liner makes it easy to take on and off. The hood lies flat and out of the way. It fits well over a hat, but is a little big - although it is adjustable
If its real cold you can wear a layer underneath. I don"t have the zip in liner
Breath-ability is pretty good
I'm 5'8" and the Med fits well
One issue is the waist is kind of tight so I don't wear it hiking
Overall a great jacket!

good bang for buck

I don't ever write reviews, but this product was pretty decent. Though waterproof, and performs well in the rain, the jacket is not very warm by itself; I found this out on a walleye fishing trip in the cold. I wore a 3 yr old northface denali underneath, and an underarmour longsleeve (not cold gear). After this trip I decided to get a Cab's polartech 300 jacket as a zip-in liner. Though it was a little tough to zip in, and the fleece did not extend all the way up to the jacket's collar, it did make the jacket a LOT warmer. On another note, I thought the extended bill on this jacket was useless and silly looking; always wore it tucked under the hood (which it does quite nicely, staying out of your way when you don't want it). However, I found out one rainy day at work that this extended bill (when unfolded) will cover my hardhat completely, and shield the rain from my face. I am 190 lbs. 5'10" and got a large. Thought it was too big, ordered a medium, and that was too small. Got a medium polartech 300 fleece as a zip-in liner, and the large EXV fits great; returned the medium parka.

I love this coat, would highly recommend. It is extremely well built and fits nicely. I didn't think it ran big, but the bill on the hood is huge. Only minor complaint is the snaps on the inside of the sleeves for the liner, they are a little irritating.
