tried using these bear hunting in the mountains where there is no cell service, I told my clients call me if they shot a bear, my sites up there (state regulated) are only 1/2 mile apart, 1st hunter shot a bear set up one site over (1/2 mile) and I could barely understand what he was saying even when I drove up the trail leading to his bear bait I could just make out that he shot one and wanted me to walk out. I understand that the 26 mile range is only in wide open areas, but I thought that it would atleast reach 5 or 6 miles in the woods, there were no mountains between us and it hardly reached 1/2 mile
