    My First Rifle
    Date:
I'm a pistol man but wanted to try a rifle. I just wanted something fun to shoot at the range. Since I didn't have hunting on my mind I got the .357/.38 SP with the short barrel.
So far it's been lots of fun and extremely accurate. I'm more than happy with it.

    Sweet multipurpose rifle

Bought my 336C in 1974, with scope and gold trigger. Has always been dead-on accurate. My younger brother dropped it from a tree stand. I fired three rounds to test accuracy: all in center, covered by quarter, at 100 yards. I love this rifle!!

    336C Flop
    Date:
Purchased because of its steller reviews... basically from the pre buyout models. Mine won't feed properly, won't eject properly and bulges the primers out of the case with factory loaded ammo. Groups good but otherwise plain and simple doesn't work.

    Great gun
    Date:
I have had a Marlin 336 since 1991, at that time i paid $197 for it brand new. I have not regreted my investment at all since then. I like lever action rifles because they have great safety features and are a blast to shot. I have spent countless hours in the woods with my 30 30 and taken many deer and hogs with it, including a 13 point buck with a 28 inch spread and drop tine. Get one its an investment you wont regret.
