Got the 410 lever Marlin and purchased some Winchester Slugs, 9 shot and triple O's. The slugs were dead on w/ the gun straight out of the box. I love the iron open sights, very easy on the eyes and I have eye glasses. The gun came in flawless condition and the wood was beautiful. The shells cycled perfectly w/ no jam ups. Shipping took only 3 days. I would recommend this gun. Thanks Cabela's! Kowboy

This gun is nothing short of magnificent! The ultimate 'brush gun" for hunters who wish to drop their game in it's tracks... with a quick, clean kill. Rain, sleet or snow ...this gun can take it all. Striking good looks, with knockdown power galore! Snap shooting a 45-70 is a reality, with the Ghost ring sights. I'm thinking about a 1.5 x 4 x 28mm LEUPOLD scope from their custom shop, with QRW low mount rings for low light conditions... a scope that I believe the Worlds Most Foremost Outfitter will soon be stocking for a 'scout scope' mounting on this gun.... with 7-9" of eye relief, the brightness of the 7MM exit pupil, and forward of the rear sight mounting, this waterproof scope is simply the best mate for this remarkable gun! An investment that will last for generations... both Leupold & Marlin ...MADE IN AMERICA!!!

45/70 with lever revolution 325gr. 150yd 3 round sub MOA from a lever gun with a scout rail scope. This thing is great. Marlin really did a great job with this new design.

I can't say enough good about my Marlin 1895 GS .45-70. Coupled with Hornady LeveRevolution 325grn FTX ammo, this rifle delivers 3/4" groups at 100yrds with ease.
It's lightweight, yet reliable, and the stainless finish is both appealing and durable. The short barrel and close balance is fast handling made this rifle a perfect deer rifle for my wife.
