We're offering duck and goose hunters top-notch 12-gauge Mossberg shotguns based on two proven platforms the 535 ATS™ (All-Terrain-Shotgun) and the 835® Ulti-Mag®. All feature 28" vent-rib barrels with a front fiber-optic sight, 5+1 capacity, 3-1/2" chambers and weatherproof synthetic stocks.
The 535 ATS has a design influenced by the success of the 3"-chambered 500® and the 3-1/2"-chambered 835 and combines the best attributes of both to deliver outstanding versatility without compromising performance. The 535's "All Terrain" flexibility is best appreciated in the field. Handles 2-3/4", 3" and 3-1/2" magnum loads. The Uni-line™ receiver aids fast target acquisition. A sleek barrel profile, coupled with a shortened magazine tube, provides a comfortable balance and swing. All include a set of Accu-Set chokes. Available in Matte Blued and Camo.
Every component of the 835 Ulti-Mag was designed and tested around the demanding requirements of high-power 3-1/2" magnum ammo. Its robust bolt, receiver, and other components are specifically sized for the longer shells and the downrange punishment they dish out. In addition, all are over-bored to 10-gauge bore dimensions, reducing recoil and producing exceptionally uniform patterns from both light and heavy shot charges. Eight ports on each side of the barrel direct gasses upward and outward to reduce felt recoil and minimize muzzle jump. Available in two camo patterns.
this is the best gun ever. i always use this gun weather its for clay shooting to duck and some hog hunting. i have shot 1000s of rounds threw this gun flawlessly. i would highly recomend this gun to anybody that wants and affordable shotgun it patterns perfect with led and steel. i have patterned this gun with winchester 3in OO buckshot out of the 15 pettets in it over 10 were in a five gal bucket lid at 80 yrds
The gun performed flawlesly the first 1000 rounds put through it. These were mostly trap rounds put through it before goose season. Cleaned it throuoghly after about every 300 rounds. Still now problems come early goose season, but opening day of waterfowl, I shot one teal, went to shoot a second, and there there was a click. The shell fell out the bottem. Had it happen about 5 times this past fall, and now the hammer is going bad I believe. About 1 in 10 shots is a miss fire. The pin never strikes the primer, or If it does it just bairly scratches it.
I have put over 500 rounds though it since I have had this gun. Purchased in August 2010. In those 500 rounds I have not had a single misfire or jam. I did not clean it till the other day, for the first time, With 537 rounds though it. This is a GREAT shot gun for the money. Consider it the Remington 870's ugly sister. It is a value priced shot gun, rough stock, light weight, decent finish, typical Mossburg action. Mossburg is the master of Value priced shot guns that go boom EVERY single time. Points nice, Patterns great with lead and steel. Have hunted Geese,Ducks,Grouse,Coyotes, squirrels, Crows, and Skunks, and it has allways gone boom, boom, boom. This is a working mans gun no doubt.
I have had this gun through three of the muddiest, wettest, icy duck seasons you can imagine and the gun always kills a duck when I want it to. Patterns great with the over-bored barrel and the stock fiber optic front sight is nice. The first season I had it, the forearm cracked where the slide attaches. I e-mailed mossberg and they sent me a whole new forearm no questions asked. Have not had any problems since. OUTSTANDING customer service!! Good solid gun for slaying greenheads. It is a good buy. Buy two for the price of a benelli and get a kid into hunting!! MADE IN THE U.S.A !!!
