Mossberg’s reputation for robust and reliable shotguns permeates every inch of these gobbler-getting pump-actions. All will handle any shotgun load with ease, from light 2-3/4" loads to the hardest-hitting 3-1/2" magnums. Each has rifle-style adjustable fiber-optic sights for precise pattern placement in the first and last moments of legal light. Barrel lengths range from 20" to 24" for fast and easy handling in cover or in a blind. Five-shot tubular magazines and a shell in the chamber gives them all six-shot capacities. Weatherproof stocks make these all-weather hunters ready to take on the extremes often encountered during spring and fall turkey seasons. Available:
535 ATS™ Standard Stock – A camouflaged standard pump-action configuration with a vent-rib barrel and extra-full choke.
835® Ulti-Mag® Turkey – A longer, over-bored and ported barrel delivers outstanding accuracy and firepower. With the included Ulti-Full™ choke tube, this shotgun has the ability to take out to toms where other shotguns would fall short.
835 Ulti-Mag Tactical Turkey™ – Sports a tactical, adjustable-length stock and a pistol grip. Barrel is over-bored for superior patterning. X-Factor ported choke tube.
This is a budget gun and should not be purchased for any real waterfowl hunter. I originally purchased this shotgun to hunt turkey. Works great if you only plan to kill turkey with it and not spend a lot of shells. I've killed plenty of turkey with this gun and cannot complain about it at all for that. Where I lost respect for this weapon was when I recently took up duck hunting. I switched out the barrel and away I went. The shotgun jams while trying to cycle 3 1/2" shells, I don't think it is really built to handle 3 1/2". The camo coating on it is very cheap and is wearing off. In the places it came off any moisture will cause it to rust. I litterially had the shotgun rust out in the 30 minutes I drove home. This is ridiculous to have a finish wear off so fast. I have 20 year old shotguns with way more shots and less wear. Save a couple hundred dollars more and invest in a shotgun that will last. If you plan to shoot it once a year to kill a turkey it'll work.
535 Turkey gun comes up nice and has great sights and is an american made gun. Action is sloppy and does not cycle very smoothly out of the box. Perhaps it will get better after heavy use? Compare Remingtion express turkey which cycles smoothly but does not come with the good truglo sights and cost $100 more. Suggest with Mossberg go to a model 500 turkeygun as the old 500 seems to cycle much better or buy a NEF pardner turkey gun for less money.
Bought this shotgun a few years back, I was on a budget so I didn't want to break the bank on a remington, this shotgun has great quality and performs well in the field. So far I have shot one turkey with it and have bought a slug barrel from Mossberg to go deer hunting with it. All around great gun and great price!
I've had one of these shotguns for about 8 years now never had any serious problems my mag tube spring got messed up just this spring but i just turned it around and gun works great again i've used all kinds of loads from 2 3/4 to 3 1/2 everything works
