Welcome To The Cabela's King Kat Classic To Be Held On The Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway at Columbus, Mississippi

The Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail will hit the waters of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway at Columbus, Mississippi for the Cabela's King Kat Classic November 12th & 13th, 2010. These anglers from across the country have qualified to participate in one of the top year end catfish events in the nation. This year's Cabela's King Kat Classic total purse will be over $70,000.00  regardless of number of entries in the event. First and second place will receive new boat, motor and trailer packages with big fish of the 2-day event receiving $1,000.00 in cash and prizes.

First Place-A  20 foot SeaArk boat with Evinrude outboard, Minn Kota trolling motor and Humminbird electronics.
Second Place- An 18 foot SeaArk boat with an Evinrude outboard, Minn Kota trolling motor and Humminbird electronics.
Drawing-A drawing will be held for anyone who has fished in a Cabela's King Kat local event this season for a 16-foot SeaArk boat with trailer only.
Weigh-In Site
The tournament weigh-in that is free and open to the public will be held both days at the Charles Younger Landing Ramp at the John C. Stennis Lock & Dam on Wilkins-Wise Rd., Columbus, Mississippi. Tournament hours both days will be 6:30 AM until 3:00 PM. All anglers must be in weigh-in line by 4:00 PM with a 5 fish limit per team. To help preserve the sport only live fish will be weighed in and all fish will be released after the tournament. For a complete list of rules phone or visit our website listed below.

Spectators should plan on getting there early to get a good spot and a chance to take photos of the anglers and the large catfish brought to the scales each day. Interviews will also be conducted on the stage each day as anglers tell some of their secrets of their success in catching these large catfish from the   Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. National sponsor representatives will also be on hand to answer questions from the anglers and the public concerning their products.

Saturday nights banquet will bring a close to the 2 days of fun and hard work for these anglers and their families. At the  banquet awards are presented to the winners as the trophies are handed out crowning the 2010 Cabela's King Kat USA Champions. NOTE: The Saturday night banquet is for the anglers and their guest and will be closed to the public.
