An amazing example of a seldom seen revolver, this Zig Zag retains an amazing amount of finish. There is some blue wear at the muzzle as well as on the grip frame and the triggerguard. The cylinder shows that it has been cycled. These are the detractions from the Mauser. Its positives: Overall the blue is a deep dark blue with only the abovementioned flaws. The cylinder, trigger and the latches on the left side of the hammer retain brilliant fire blue. The hammer still exhibits lots of case color. The grips are uncracked and display excellent checkering. Best of all, the frame shows little sign that the revolver has been fired and the bore is spectacular. After all of these years, it still retains its lanyard ring. The action is smooth and still functions perfectly - an exceptional example of the level of quality that made the Mauser name legendary. A World War II bring back. Consigned.
