Light, compact and powerful – this handheld 15x50 spotting scope is ideal for backcountry excursions and treks into high elevations when every ounce of weight counts. At 15.2 oz., the Recon can go where heavier scopes can’t and its integrated hand strap steadies your view. Every optical surface is fully multicoated with multilayer XR coatings for optimal image clarity. Scratch- and abrasion-resistant ArmorTek protects the large 50mm objective lens and also resists smudging. Waterproof and fogproof, Recon is ready for use in any kind of weather. Extra-low dispersion glass enhances resolution and color fidelity. Vortex proprietary XR anti-reflective coatings on all glass surfaces increase light transmission for optimal brightness. Prisms are phase-corrected for sharp imagery and contrast. The eyecup twists up and down for convenient use with or without eyewear. Focus range is 12 ft. to infinity. A handy utility clip allows for multiple attachment points and lets you quickly attach the scope to pocket edges, packs or vests.
