Nikon’s Fieldscope EDG spotting scope has easy-to-use extra-low-dispersion glass for edge-to-edge clarity, and a lens-shift type Vibration Reduction (VR) system that promotes stillness during observation that’s equivalent to a shutter speed approximately two stops faster. Extremely durable, waterproof and fogproof construction, thanks to incapsulated nitrogen gas. Built-in sliding hood protects the 85mm objective lens. Three tripod mount screw holes provide flexible mounting options. 85 VR model has a dielectric high-reflective, multilayer prism coating on the roof prism for the brightest view possible. Both models have phase-correction-coated roof prisms for high resolution. VR function automatically turns off after 30 minutes, preserving battery power. Approximately 17-hour battery life on alkaline batteries; 31-hour battery life on lithium batteries. Uses four AA batteries (not included).
