  • "Patiently Waiting" – As the sun sets behind a hillside barn, two hunting dogs wait patiently for the farmers to finish harvesting. Overhead, a flight of honkers head for their evening resting place. The old pickup truck carries all necessary gear: shotgun, decoys, boat, lunch and welding equipment (handy for quick in-the-field repairs). Note the fishing pole topped with a red flag. You only need to lose your truck once in the tall slough grass! This classic scene nostalgically revisits a new remote rural way of life experienced by few and remembered by many.
  • "Evening Rendezvous" –  Before a dramatic sky of developing thunderheads and bursting light, a family quietly glides toward Rendezvous Point. It's sundown and the rest of the family has already set up camp, with table and benches in place and an ample supply of firewood waiting to be chopped. It's an unforgettable moment, meant to be shared with anyone who has the will or imagination to reach out for one of life's grandest experiences.
  • "Twilight Time" – The long day of hunting in nearby sloughs and lakes is over. The party has returned to the lakeside lodge and is inside resting, taking on refreshments and perhaps telling a tall tale or two. Can you hear the muffled laughter? The sign nailed to the lodge wall, "Last chance-Inventory," informs us that the owner understands what his hunting friends require. After many years of use, the tree has become the official place to stack guns, hang out wet clothing and repack shells and other gear. Every sportsman, the lodge owner knows, wants to be ready for the next day.
  • "Campfire Tales" – A homemade camper top on the old pickup is the forerunner of modern versions. Four deer secretly watch the camp. Only the morning will reveal their presence. The man launching a wooden canoe occasionally "dipped," as we can see from the tobacco can vaguely outlined in his rear pocket. And the group's storyteller relaxes in a folding chair, hands extended, to recall the big one that got away.
