Description: Outstanding example of a standard Henry rifle! Metal is mostly brown patina with some original remaining blue in the trough between the barrel and magazine tube. Hammer shows traces of remaining case color. Receiver has turned a nice mustard patina with sharp edges remaining. Buttstock is sound with a few light nicks and scratches with approximately 70% original finish remaining. Iron and brass tip cleaning rod remains in the buttstock. Mechanical function is excellent with a bright shiny bore showing a few spots of minor shallow pitting. Matching serial numbers can be found on usual spot on barrel, left side of lower tang, top tang channel of stock, and inside toe of buttplate (See Photos). Barrel is fitted with late style square back German silver front sight and the 900 yard Henry ladder rear sight. Truly a rare find for the discriminating collector!
