Description: This is a matched set of two Browning model 71s that were part of a limited run of 6,000 rifles produced in 1986-87 (3,000 Grade I and 3,000 High Grades). These guns are numbered alike with the same serial number prefix as Browning used a different suffix after the date code to separate the Grade Is from the High Grades. These guns appear to be unfired. Both rifles feature pistol grip stocks, half magazines, blued steel checkered buttplates, adjustable iron sights, and 24" round barrels. The grade one is finished in a deep, rich bluing and a smooth, satin finished walnut stock set. The High Grade has very nicely figured checkered walnut furniture, a gold trigger, and a grayed action with gold inlays and game scene engraving.
