Description: This is a Winchester model 70 Standard Grade (1956) in .300 H&H with a 26" barrel. The matte blueing of the receiver is in good condition although it has been reblued. The blueing of the barrel is in good condition, yet the front sight is missing and it has also been reblued. The walnut stock is in good condition with some wear due to it’s age and the checkering on the pistol grip and forearm is crisp. It has had a repair done to the left side near the back of the bolt where there must have been a cut out of the stock to accomodate an open sight. The action is smooth and tight and the bore is bright and shiny.
