Description: This is an Outstanding Colt 1911 made in 1914 and carried by Walter Bush Sr. in the forests of France during WW1. This fine pistol comes with two magazine holders one is marked Rock Island Arsenal, 1913 T.C.O. and there is an S.S. stamp as well, the second is marked R.I.A. 1912 T.C.O. and has in large format 6 CFA and a small L.H.. The Holster is in very nice condition and is marked Rock Island Arsenal, 1914 T.C.O. The large brass rivet is marked A120 and the leather has the embossed US inside an oval. The leather is soft and supple and has scratches in the surface; the brass has not been cleaned in years and is a nice mustard color. Each mag pouch comes with two mags for a total of 5 mags. All of the mags are half white and half blue. This fine Colt pistol belonged to Walter Bush Sr. who founded Ducks Unlimited as a for profit company in 1933 and later wrote the books, A Saga of Duck & Goose Hunting and A Story of 60 years of Hunting Waterfowl with Numerous How-To-Do-It Tips.
