Description: This Merkel Model 140-2.1E in .470 NE has a 23 3/4 inch barrel with a three leave express rear sight marked for 50 and 75 meters on a quarter rib and has post front sight with silver bead. The barrels are regulated at 50 meters using Federal Bonded Solid 500 grain ammunition. This rifle has an Anson & Deeley boxlock action. The scalloped receiver has a silver gray finish and shows fine engraving and detailed game scenes with a cape buffalo on the right and elephant on the left; the engraver initials of S.H. appear on the left side in the bottom right-hand corner. Features double triggers with articulated front trigger, ejectors, and non-resetting safety. The stock is of gloss finished checkered walnut with cheek piece, pistol grip with black grip cap, splinter fore end with Deeley style release, and has a solid black rubber butt pad with heel cap. This Merkel is a new rifle and come in factory box with papers and regulation target.
