Description: This is a matched set of two Browning model 1886s that were part of a limited run of 10,000 rifles produced in 1986 (7,000 Grade I and 3,000 High Grades). These guns are numbered alike with the same serial number prefix as Browning used a different suffix after the date code to seperate the Grade Is from the High Grades. These guns appear to be unfired. Both rifles feature straight stocks, full length magazines, blued steel crescent buttplates, adjustable iron sights, and 26" octagon barrels. The grade one is finished in a deep, rich bluing and a smooth, low luster walnut stock set. The High Grade has very nicely figured checkered walnut furniture, a gold trigger, and a grayed action with gold inlays and game scene engraving. The top of the High Grade barrel is also engraved, "1 of 3000."
