Description: Colt SAA 7 1/2" .45 L.C. This is a very early black powder frame gun made in 1877. The frame has been lacquered in a failed attempt to preserve the case colors. The bore is near bright with good rifling. The cylinder ratchet appears to be good, although the hand may be slightly worn. The walnut grips appear to have been rounded off on the corners leaving the corners of the square butt protruding somewhat. The frame shows some wear, although no dings. The screws are in relatively good condition. There is some blue remaining on the barrel and the trigger guard/back strap and the hammer, but it appears to not be original. The caliber is marked on the left side of the trigger guard. There are no military markings. This gun should be only used with black powder.
