Butt Smooth steel buttplate
Metal Condition Nickled receiver is turning to brown oxide and partial patina in skin contact areas. Fully engraved and features panels of waterfowl on each side. Lock-up has perceptible "play" which is markedly worse with forend removed.
Wood Condition Right side of stock displays a severe crack extending from the rear of the lock into the wrist with another crack rising from just behind the triggerguard rising to intersect it. Smaller but similar cracks appear on the left side as well.
Bore Condition Visible bore erosion exists forward of the chambers, in the choke areas and likely through the length of the tubes.
Manufacture Date Unknown; stock medallion has initials "C.F." and "1885" scratched into its surface.
