Metal Condition Completely refinished. All metal surfaces have been blued with no original case coloring remaining on any action surfaces. The barrel ribs and lugs show evidence of being resoldered before re-bluing and do not ring true. Several light scratches in the finish can be seen on the chamber area of the right barrel.

Wood Condition Both the forend and stock have been sanded and refinished. The checkering points are worn flat and the wood surfaces surrounding both the upper and lower tangs show evidence of removal. The lower right stock horn has a chip missing where it meets the receiver and there is also a gouge behind the right sideplate.

Description: A previous owner rejuvenated this fine firearm with an eye toward functionality in the field as opposed to a complete restoration to its original configuration and appearance.  There is a barely perceptible looseness in the action lock-up that is magnified with the forearm removed.
