Description: Cabela’s was founded in 1961 and to celebrate our 50th anniversary, we’re proud to offer a special limited-edition version of “The Rifleman’s Rifle,” the classic Winchester Model 70. Made especially for Cabela’s, this rifle is built with the standard features you’d find on a Model 70 Sporter in 1961, with some additions to make it a superb addition to any collection. In addition to the pre-1964 controlled-round-feeding bolt action with claw extraction, the rifle has a pre-1964 contoured barrel complete with rear sight saddle and hooded ramp front sight. The stock is a handsomely checkered Grade-III walnut Monte Carlo-style outfitted with a red Pachmayr® Decelerator recoil pad. Chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum, this rifle has the power needed to take down any North American big-game animal. A special Cabela’s 50th Anniversary logo is engraved on the floorplate.
