Description: Colt Lightning Magazine Rifle .38-40 W.C.F. This very nice specimen is the best I've seen outside of a museum. The bore is bright with good rifling. The exterior appears to be original. The metal is almost entirely patinaed. The wood shows very little wear. The action is somewhat stiff and gummy, but smooth and functions well. The rear sight appears to be correct, but is not patinaed like the rest of the gun and could possibly be a replacement.
