Description: Marked on the barrel "Colt Frontier Six Shooter .44-40". This barrel is "Probably" a barrel from a Colt SAA and manufactured after 1910 or 1911as the markings on the barrel, the higher front sight, and the fact that this firearm was manufactured approximately in 1890 points to a barrel replacement somewhere along the line.
