Description: Browning Superposed Pigeon Grade Broadway Trap 12 Gauge with 2 3/4" chambers, 30" Full and Full choked barrels with Broadway Trap ventilated rib. The gray receiver is intricately engraved with oak leaf, floral and scroll work with engraved pigeons on the right and left sides. The receiver top, upper tang, top lever, safety and trigger guard are all engraved. Functional features include ejectors and a gold single selective trigger with barrel selector/safety on upper tang. The high gloss finish, checkered, square knob pistol grip stock has a highly figured grain pattern, and includes a Browning recoil pad. The checkered, semi-beavertail forend has some nice grain pattern as well and includes with greyed, engraved hardware. The shotgun is in good to very good condition. The bluing as a few small scratches, otherwise the barrels have full coverage bluing. The receiver and other greyed finished metal is showing some light superficial surface wear in a few small places. The intermediate white/ivory bead on the rib is sound and secure, the front white/ivory sight bead is missing but there is a repair which look's to be of white sight paint. The wood is in very good condition overall, has some scattered scratches and a small ding. No, not a 98% or better collector gun, but for a shooter this Pigeon Grade Broadway Trap will look great on the trap line as well as the gun cabinet. Stock measures: 14 3/8" LOP; 1 3/8" DAC; 1 9/16" DAH. And the shotgun weighs 8 Lbs. Serial Number: 57640 S69. The shotgun was manufactured in 1969 during the years (1966-1971) when Browning cured gunstocks with salt, however after testing the wood for salt we found that there was no evidence that it was cured with salt. Also, not all Browning wood during the salt cured years was salt cured wood.
