The Garmin fenix 2 GPS Watch is more than a guide for your backcountry adventures, it also combines the best fitness features to create the ultimate tool for both exploring and training. With a three-axis compass, the capabilities to mark 1,000 waypoints and store 10,000 trackpoints, navigating between your favorite spots is a cinch, while the easy-to-use altimeter, barometer and temperature sensor keeps backpackers aware of changing mountain conditions. Exclusive TracBack® feature reverses the track log for navigating back to a downed bull, trailhead or other starting point. Worldwide base map is factory-installed. Automatically upload data wirelessly to Garmin Connect™, Live Track and social media via the Garmin Connect Mobile app, plus receive emails, texts and alerts directly to your watch, or share data wirelessly with compatible Garmin units and smartphones. Features like Fitness Training mode and Virtual Partner® track time, distance, pace, calories, speed, lap data and heart rate, while letting you set speed and distance goals to compete against the onscreen icon – so you can push your limits. A built-in accelerometer tracks your indoor training. Improve your performance with the Advanced Workouts mode that calculates recovery time, predicts your ideal finish time and estimates your maximum oxygen consumption when paired with a heart-rate monitor (not included). Running Dynamics uses the HRM-Run™ monitor (not included) to provide feedback on form by measuring cadence, vertical oscillation and ground contact time. Swim and Ski modes measure speed, distance, pace and time. Swim Mode also tracks stroke count and intervals, while Ski Mode additionally measures vertical drop and total runs, as well as records your run history and other performance data.
