The threaded barrel section of the reel seat encloses the butt end of the blank to eliminate the extra weight of a middle insert and to ensure a secure bond with the blank. An up-locking Delrin® ring ensures the locking nut snugs the reel securely in place. The proven-reliable sealed drag consists of stacked, smooth-braking Rulon® discs with a two-stage compression drag spring that accommodates a wide range of drag pressures.
