Equipped with corrosion-resistant components, the blanks are precision-crafted of a proprietary blend of IM6, IM7 and IM8 graphite for the ideal balance of line-zipping fast action and lightweight strength. It flawlessly transfers energy between the backcast and forward cast, accurately propelling line to your target. The threaded barrel section of the reel seat encloses the butt end of the blank to eliminate the extra weight of a middle insert and to ensure a secure bond with the blank. An up-locking Delrin® ring ensures the locking nut snugs the reel securely in place. Corrosion-resistant, nickel-titanium-alloy REC Recoil stripper guides are 50% lighter than traditional guides and always return to their original shape. 25-year limited warranty.
 
The TLr fly-reel's frame size accommodates two spool sizes for a versatile system designed for the saltwater and spey angler. Purchase an extra spool and you can fish 9- to 12-weight lines for a variety of big-game fish. Machined-aluminum construction with an anodized finish withstands rugged use. Sealed Rulon® disc drag for hard-fighting performance. Spey anglers can add an optional reel weight balancer to counterbalance the rod (sold separately).
