With a rechargeable lithium battery, large solar panel, hand-turbine power generator and DC power input via a micro-USB cable, you can stay informed at home or in the backcountry with the etón FRX5 Large Weather Radio with USB Charger. The AM/FM receiver includes an NOAA weather band to keep you updated on developing conditions, plus a special alert mode automatically broadcasts NOAA weather alerts for your area. Specific Area Message Encoding (S.A.M.E.) technology offers extra alert power allowing you to enter your S.A.M.E. county code and when there's a warning, watch or advisory you'll see it – in addition to the audible alert – with red, orange or green lights. Since you can set up to 25 locations with this service, you'll stay safe wherever your adventures take you. Built-in LED flashlight helps you find your way, while a red emergency beacon helps rescuers find you in dire situations.
