These anglers fought the high temperatures and a heat advisory with temperatures reaching the triple digits to compete not only for cash and prizes, but the opportunity to qualify for the 2010 Cabela's King Kat Classic. This year's Cabela's King Kat Classic will be held on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway at Columbus, Mississippi.

The Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail and the Gateway Catfishing Club would like to thank all those who braved the hot temperatures to fish in this year's Gateway Classic. We would also like to thank the Plattin Rock Boat Club for hosting the event. "We would like to thank national sponsors, Donn Lux of Rebel Yell and Jessica from the Cabela's Hazelwood store for coming to the weigh in", said Tournament Director Tanner Tabor.  "The water was high, with 5 mph current, and there was also a heat advisory as temperatures pushed into the triple digits, making conditions extremely tough.  Nearly 300 people were on hand to watch the weigh in with this tremendous heat," said Tanner.
