Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades Camouflage

Building on a history of leading-edge waterfowl patterns beginning with its original Bottomland, through Shadow Grass and on to Duckblind, Mossy Oak has always focused heavily on the needs of the waterfowler. And the companyís new waterfowl pattern, Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades is a result of that focus.
The Mossy Oak research-and-development team, which includes the entire staff, agreed the most versatile and effective waterfowl pattern is one that is purely a grass pattern.
Team members then spent months photographing different types of shore grass in different areas of the country. They took hundreds of photos of grass blades in all sorts of windblown, broken, bent and assorted positions of disarray. As they downloaded all the photos it became evident that each BLADE was unique in itself and that in the background of each photo was thatch consisting of dead or pressed down lesser grass.
With these two elements to make up the entire pattern, their job was to create the perfect pure grass camouflage pattern by arranging each grass blade in natural positions with real shadows falling across each other on a thatch background to give Shadow Grass Blades a realistic 3D appearance to break up a hunterís outline. Each grass blade was selected for its unique coloration and position to duplicate the grass edges found all over the country.
