"One of the locations I fish requires a 16-mile, one-way drive on gravel roads. I bought these for protecting my Ranger from gravel and dust, and they are an outstanding product. They do the job I bought them for. I'm very pleased and have recommended them to several friends who have bought them, and also like them."

"Instead of razor knife I used a jigsaw to cut off excess mud flap. Also used a drill to cut new holes. The hole punch they send was useless.
Lay everything up before tightening anything. Assemble with back side up laying on the floor."

"The Rock Tamers do a pretty good job of keeping the wet and dirty stuff off of the front of my 5th wheel, but not quite as well as permanently mounted mudflaps. Since I wanted to keep the new truck looking simple, the removable solution was most appealing to me. I'll live with the overspray that the Rock Tamers can't tame."

"I pull my boat behind my camper fifth wheel camper or behind my pickup. I wanted something that I could move from one to the other. I leave it attached to my ball piece and just move it from one to the other. Works perfect. They are little heavy, but they need to be."

"I found these flaps to be easily constructed, but the only concern was the tightening mechanism for the adjustability of width on these flaps. Even though the item is tagged with a warning that overtightening was not reccomended, I found that the bracket was too flimsy, and a hair line fracture occured with using finger torque on the allen key. Partly my fault I guess? Be very careful when tightening. I feel that this bracket needs a stopper to prevent this. I remedied the situation by removing the adjustability all together and sent self tapping screws through the bracket once I fitted it to my truck. I love the fact that these are easily removable from the vehicle and provide maximum protection when installed. All in all, the flaps are of a heavy and durable rubber and I would buy these again."

"I really like the styleing on the center attachment and the crome letters on the bottom look great. When installed though they look like a set of wings . It mounts on the trailer hitch that has a little play,so they are wobbele left to right .I am thinking of returning them."

"The rock tamers took about 40 minutes to put together. I would caution anyone buying them for a GM product as I have 2004 GMC 2500 with a 6" lift and 17" wheels and they are hanging about 2-3" off the ground when extended to highest position, so my guess is they would be dragging on the ground without a lifted GM truck."

"After purchasing a new travel trailer this year, I wanted to protect it when in tow. While searching for flaps, I found the Rock Tamers. It is so nice when you purchase a product that performs exactly as advertised. After the initial set-up of my new Rock Tamers, we took our trailer on it's first trip a couple weeks ago, approx. 1,500 miles. I was amazed how well they worked. The front of my trailer was 100% protected by the Rock Tamers. I own a dually truck and the multiple adjustments on the Rock Tamer design is superior to any other brands I looked at. I could not be more satisfied with my purchase.

"Helpfull installation tip:
Have the weight of your trailer on the vehicle when determining how much of the rubber to cut off.
I did not have my trailer hooked up and had to cut the rubber twice because it was too low after hooking up."
