"I used these while hunting this year - 2008. I was able to turn up the volume and hear everythimg being said by my guide while we were whispering about the hunt. When it came time to shoot I just pulled the trigger, and they worked as described. The 30-06 blast was reduced to what you would expect with earmuffs. They are very comfortable to shoot with, and the tapered design didn't get in my way while looking through the scope. Summary: for the price - WOW!!!"

"I have a pair of $200 ear muffs. I compaired the two several times for volume and clarity.The $200.00 pair have more volume but no more then would really be needed. As for the acoustics, the Howard Leight Impact Sports take center stage! They have batteries that out last the other one, the batteries are easy to find and cost alot less. They are so easy to change have a thinner profile and fold up much better. I will buy another pair for my wife, without question. The saying is you get what you pay for, but this time it has been proven wrong. The OD Green color brings back my days on the Army rifle team. These have everything going for them. Forget the big brand names with the high price and give these a go, if you don't agree, I will be amazed. Alot of thought when into these ear muffs! Simply put, they are OUTSTANDING! (Ray)"

"This is the perfect product! Colour - dull green perfect for hunting. Profile - so thin they could never interfer with gun mounting. Operation - unbelievable! I have a hearing problem but with the muffs on I can hear better than ever before - pheasants taking-off sounds like a 747, but not as big! An they certainly block out the shot blast as well as my old plain muffs. It is a delight to be able to talk to others without lifting your muffs all the time. And, lastly the promotion material doesn't mention that the muffs come with an i-pod lead and connection - now how's that for the most up-to date ear muffs!"

"I recently bought the Howard Leigh Impact Sport Earmuff and i am very pleased with it. Having very good audio boosting for me is important as i am hard of hearing, using these earmuffs works incredibly well, so well infact that i use it for much more than just the range. And they keep the noise out well too, just last weekend i was working at the local dragstrip in what we call the burnout, so i am basically standing in between the cars as they burn out the tires, and not once did i feel discomfort from the noise and the audio boost worked perfectly every time, dropping out high noise and keeping speaking on a very nice increased volume. Only minor setback i found and this is very minor, and that was that after having had them on for about 10 hours my ears were a bit tired as due to the low profile they will press my ears back just slightly...but like i said, this was after very long use and i consider it a very minor thing indeed. Would and do recommend it to anyone, got one for my dad allready!"

"I loved these earmuffs. They did everything they said they would plus! They are comfortable, even with a hat on. I was supprised to see they come with the cord to hook up my I pod and they even have stereo sound!!! Great product, my budied are all getting them next year. Even the one who bought the Walker Game Ear muffs, not so good!"

"These work great and the price is reasonable. I was a little skeptical but they do exactly what they say they will. The volume control is nice so you can adjust how much ambient sound you want to pump in. I haven't tried the external input with my two-way radio so I can't speak to that specifically but I imagine it works as well as the built in mic works."

"Over the years I have purchased a number of electronic headsets. I have to say the Leight Impact headset has outperformed all of them (and one I paid $220 for). Fit well and did not get in the way when shooting F-Class. Volume control was easy to adjust for outside noise level while cutting off gun noise. I still can't get over how nice they are. -Chip-"

"On the pistol range these are great! Everyone shoots at the same time so that wasnt much of a challenge. I waited until trap started. Now I am impressed. I was able to hear everything from my shell seating in the bottom barrel to the trap boy saying "loss" for my buddies!! For the the money I spent I'm more than satisfied! They're even low profile enough for me to get my head down on my shotgun. I dont really care how long the batteries run, I wanted the performance and I got it."

"im not anything but a hobby shooter and biggest i shoot is a .308. but this muffs are amazing. sound quality is fantastic although you have to turn them up a bit to really pic out small sounds. and the reducing is fast and works well. i will be buying another set for the girlfriend and one for the shop as they work great when using air tools."

"I am a Firearms Instructor, so I am around gunfire all day long. These muffs are incredible! They "drown-out" the gunfire but still allow me to hear my students talking and hear the range commands. I even wear ear plugs underneath, and I can still hear conversation, even 20 feet down the firing line! These are well worth the money!!"
