Airflo Ridge Running Line - Intermediate,
May 7, 2008
By Pistol123from Southern Vermont
"Excellent running line - use mainly for Great Lakes Steelhead fishing. Could not figure out / understand the big loop they put on line, so, I just cut it off and rigged up as I usually do - cast very well, easy to mend."

Airflo Ridge Running Line,
January 18, 2008
By GrampaSpeyfrom Northern California
"I have two AirFlo Ridge Running Lines.
They are used on/with my Spey lines, Rio AFS Spey Heads and Rio Skagit Heads.
I use the lighter weight Ridge Running line with my trout and lighter weight Spey Rods.
The heavier weight Ridge Running line is used with my heavier weight Spey Rods.
I use the new Mangrove Hipshooter/shooting line basket with my shoot head lines to hold the shooting line. The Ridge Running/Shooting lines have a lot less operator error than other Running/Shooting lines. One has been used in both hot and cold weather and the newer one only in colder weather. There are less coiling incidents while casting with the Ridge Lines particuliarily at higher or lower temps. The Ridge Running line combined with the Mangrove Hipshooter easily add one to two plus rod lengths of running line to each cast.
Supposedly, the Ridge Lines collect more dirt, scum and other stuff from the water versus other running lines. That has not been an issue in some dirty and algae filled waters.
After each fishing trip, I wash the lines on the spools with warm water and Ivory Bar Hand Soap. They are as good as new on the next trip."

Good Line Bad Loop,
October 5, 2007
By Beomurffrom Cape Cod
"This is the best running line I have used, and I have used most of them. It rarely tangles and when it does it is easy to untangle. Word to the wise I lost a nice fish because the welded loop broke even though I had a 15# tippet. Could have been a fluke (actually I'll never know what the fish was) but I would make a large braided loop of 35# braided mono rather than trust it again."
