Stillwater Solutions Ostrich Herl

This material is ideal for small stillwater patterns. The colors of these materials were developed by stillwater fly-fishing experts Brian Chan and Phil Rowley to match the insects commonly found in lakes and other still waters. Individual fibers move independently, making Ostrich Herl perfect for callibaetis nymphs, damselflies, water boatman and scuds. Hand-selected plumes for smaller patterns. Per plume. Colors: Bleached White, Olive Dun, Olive, Tan, Light Olive, Callibaetis(L to R).

"I purchased the olive and light olive ostrich herl to tie some of the patterns I had read, and wanted to try, after I recieved Fly Patterns for Stillwater by Phil Rowley. I saw his name on the product description and was sold!! The herl is great and easy to use,and works perfectly for many of the damselfly patterns within the book. It twists easily for creating that natural taper and has great movement in the water."
