"I bought the 18'6" model to fit on a new boat for trailering home from the dealership. Based on what I read in these reports and after calling customer service (another 5 stars), I decided to go with an exact fit model. I gave the dealer the unopened box the cover came in. They stated they would try and fit it on as best they could. I had them remove the single console windshield, first. They were extremely impressed with the fit of the cover, stating they were able to stretch-fit it into perfect position. It rode home very nice and stayed in the same exact position. The cover did 'puff-up' on the way home. Not sure if that is normal as my last custom cover stayed 'pushed-down' into position. I did not use the motor cover, but will likely in the coming months. For under $300, I got, from what I can tell, as good a cover as my last custom made cover, which was a cost of $800. Very pleased with quality, 'bargain' price, and fit. Another successful order from Cabelas."

"After 5 years, my old Cabela's canvas cover developed rips at the stretch points, most notably the raised seats. One of the very nice things that this new cover seems to have going for it is that it breathes, which eliminates the mold and condensation build up that the old canvas cover seemed to breed. So far, after several heavy rains & early PA summer humidity, I haven't noticed any of the pass canvas issues with this cover. The one issue that I have with the cover is the ratchet lock down that tightens the cover to the gunwales .... they are rather heavy, and the most convenient place to connect them is to the boat & trailer rear tie down areas. Unfortunately, this aligns the ratchet mechanism perilously close to my two transom mounted fish finders. Eventually, I'll come up a solution that will allow this ratchet system to work when the boat is parked as well as towing with the cover on (something that I haven't done yet)."

"I bought this cover for a 17'9 deep-v walleye boat. the fit is pretty good and the ratchets are great way better than the pull cords that came with the stock cover. My only problem is there are only 3 tie down straps on the side I would like to have a few more for trailoring."

"So far, so good! Bought it about a month ago. Holding out the Michigan weather nicely. Very snug and secure. I only wish it had added protection over the windshield area, but I use foam pipe insulation and seems to work good. I think it's well worth the price and I recommend this item to other buyers."

"This is the third boat cover I have owned. I would have to say that this cover is the worst. For the price this cover cost, it is not worth it. I have owned better covers that cost less. Cover does not have protective padding where needed. The ratcheting straps are next to useless. Has a separate motor cover that needs to be attached to the cover and a bungie cord in place of the wratching straps. The straps that hold the cover on the trailer are always needing to be tightened. I read the reviews others had written before I purchased this cover and one stated to order a cover that is a foot longer than needed for bow mounted trolling motor. This does not hold true on a Triton TR-186. The 18'-6" cover would have fit better. I just hope they honor the 6 year warranty."

"the cover seems ok. havent had it long enough to say any thing about longevity. motor hood needs to be fixed to rest of cover. all the dirt that collects on the cover runs into splash well. splash well really gets very dirty if boat not usad on a regulary. water from cover just runs in the splash well. would be a very first rate cover if that was changed"

"I bought this cover for my 1991 Astro 20 FDX. I was a little skeptical that it would fit correctly. Boy was I wrong! This is the best fitting cover that I've ever bought for my boat. We've had some ice and snow here in the Northeast this Winter.....but it didn't phase the cover. The ratchet system is awesome! If you need a cover for your boat.....this one is it! "I've had the cover on my boat for about three months and have had very good results. It's been through some pretty good rain storms with lot's of wind and the cover held tight. It worked much better than the very expensive custom cover for my ski boat. My Only suggestion is make the tie down straps in the middle of the cover a little longer . I highly recommend this cover."

"Boat cover is very easy to put on and take off the boat because the straps stay attached to the cover. With other covers you have to unsnap the strap from the cover, then remove the strap from the trailer. Material is thick and waterproof. Too early to tell how durable it is."

"THE BOAT COVER WAS GREAT. THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THE MOTOR COVER IS NOT SIZED TO THE MOTOR, RESULTING IN TEARING THE FIRST TRIP OUT. SINCE THERE IS MANY DIFFERENT SIZED MOTORS ON THE MARKET, IT IS DIFFICULT TO HAVE A "ONE SIZE FIT ALL" SENARIO.
