"This game blew my away. I love the way the buffulo charge and the lions bite and the leoperds pounce, making you take the perfect shot with rifles and hand gunslike the 375., 416,. and 500., revolver. I loved the way the birds like turtle dove, egeyption goose and yellow billed teal fly out so fast and scatter like they would in real life. I love that you get to go after many plains game like Kudu, Wildbeast, Gemsbuck, Heartebeast, Bushbuck, Lechwe, Eland, Springbok, Zebra, and Nyala with the 300,. 270,. 44., revolver, 243,. 338,. and 375,. I don't like that you can't view your trophies, and that you can only go after one animal on a mission unlike real life safaries, But I would still recomend it to friends and family. Another great Cabela's video game. Make a second one pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese."

"I loved this game very much.It had good details from the animals to the guns to the scenery.This game was so fun I beat it about 10 times because I can't stop playing it. All cabelas needs is a saltwater fishing game and they have covered it all."

"I don't consider myself a "gamer," but I probably have a dozen PS2 games. Cabela's African Safari is a quality game. In my opinion, this game isn't as "easy" as some reviewers have described. Someone claimed to have beaten this game in 4 hours... That is quite an accomplishment, and honestly very hard for me to imagine.
I have the game on the easiest of 3 skill levels, and I'm enjoying it. If I'm going to hunt, I want to shoot something. I don't want time to run out on my digital hunting experience. If the game is too easy for YOU, then I suggest you simply choose a greater level of difficulty when you start the game. However, recognizing a "trophy" animal from among other like animals can be difficult. I just recently beat the Water Buffaloes and I will confess it got my heart pumping.
If I have a gripe with this game, then it would be the time you spend waiting for the game to load between hunts. That's probably more of a PS2 issue. Otherwise, it's a fun game."

"I have had this game for about a year now and i still am playing it. The graphics are good and it is very realistic! I love this game along with Cabelas Alaskan Adventures. The only reason that i gave it 4 stars is because it has a short storyline and it is not very challenging. Very good game tho."

"This game was great! It was hard and challenging. The big five was really fun to hunt and they had a good career mode. It wasn't very realistic but thats because I have it for PSP. The leopards I thought were especially hard. But my favorite big five was the Elephant."

"Hi, I got this game for Christmas one year for my PSP and I loved it. It was really cool how they had alot of sometimes hard levels in each nation. I found it helpful when I had to shoot a persific type of animal in a herd that they let you slow things down for a amount time. "This game has good graphics (i have the psp game) It was really easy i beat the first day! The thing is you just kill the animal to kill them you dont have to claim them and there is no trophy room to see your animals this makes the game a tad boring at times but other than that another great product from cabelas"
