The Omega is the first Nikon™ scope specifically designed for muzzleloader shooting. A full 5" of
eye relief, combined with the new BDC-250 reticle, makes this scope perfectly designed for muzzleloaders.
The new BDC-250 trajectory-compensating reticle will revolutionize your muzzleloader shooting
by taking the guesswork out of crosshair placement. It was designed using the .50-caliber T/C Omega
rifle with a 28" barrel, 250-grain bullet and 150 grains of Pyrodex. All you have to do is sight in the
crosshairs at 100 yards at 9X, determine distance to your target and use the appropriate ballistic circle. The
small series of "ballistic circles" measure 2" at 100 yards allowing a clear view of your target. These
circles give you accurate aiming points at 150, 200, 225 and 250 yards. Range it, sight it, shoot it.
No more guessing. Nikon's multicoating gives light transmission up to 92% for clear images, even in low
light. Hand-turn 1/4-MOA click adjustments. Waterproof, fogproof and shockproof. Lifetime warranty.

Nikon Omega ML scope,
July 16, 2008
By HadtoGofrom Houston Tx
"I am a big fan of Nikon Optics but the Omega ML scope has to much eye relief. If you have a long lenghth of pull you will have to mount this scope well forward of the normal position for a scope. It did not match up w/ my TC Encore very well, it put the eye piece bell in the way of the hammer & if you go to higher scope mounts your cheek will end up to high on the cheek well of the stock."

Nikon Omega Muzzleloading Riflescopes,
July 16, 2008
By Anonymous Reviewerfrom Chesapeake, VA
"I recently purchased the Nikon Omega muzzleloader scope and installed it on my new Thompson Center Encore Endeavor rifle. The rifle scope performed superbly just as advertised! The sighting-in instructions are easy to follow; however if you are familiar with bore sighting and long range sighting of riflescopes, it is easy to set. The whole key to the matter is incorporating correct components specified by Nikon for regulating the rifle. A charge of 3 fifty grain (150 grs,) Pyrodex pellets and a 250grs. Thompson Center sabot is the "ticket" for quick regulation. I sighted-in the rifle at 100 yards and then proceeded to 250 yards without any problems encountered."

Nikon Scope,
June 9, 2008
By blackpowder4lifefrom Indiana
"I recently put the nikon omega scope on my omega. I sighted it in at 100yds with shockwave bullets and 150grs of powder. The scope is amazing to say the least. With pyrodex pellets I can put 3 shots touching in a circle at 100yds. I have no problem seeing the cross hairs 5 mins before dark, but I have not tried out the reticles yet to see where they shoot."

One disappointment in this scope is low light cond,
June 1, 2008
By Errackfrom South Jersey
"During good light conditions I would give this scope five stars, BUT when it comes to crunch time for us deer hunters such as half hour before and after sunrise and sunset when most shots come this scope in my opinoin is lacking. I also own a Leupold 2-7 power for my slug gun and I honestly wish I had stuck with it for my muzzleloader. The leupold gathers much more light, and the fov is much better. The circles in the omega, for other ranges, I believe make it to buisy in the scope for low light conditions. But again if low light conditions are not to important for you then this is the scope for you. Note to the guy who gave it one star and says the scope is moving well all I have to say is check your set up again because I shoot it with 150 grains and I am rather rough handling my gun and it stays zeroed. I would not recomend this scope to friends, infact my brother is in the market for a muzzle loader scope and I suggested the leupold. which I might just see about getting for mying also."

Junk,
May 21, 2008
By Turleylegfrom Carlisle, PA
"The Nikon Omega can't handle the recoil of a magnum load in a muzzleloader. Everytime I shoot mag loads the crosshairs wander up and to the left consistently. After 8 yrs in the military and qualifying expert on the m-16 and 9mm not to mention hunting for 30yrs I'm a pretty good shot....I'm not flinching. Bore sighting confirmed the crosshair travel."
