    AWSOME GUN, September 13, 2008
    By Remington45 from Billings, Montana

"i received this rifle a few months ago and when i started shooting it the scope was loose but it didnt matter to me because i ordered a Nikon the next day. this gun is super fast and accurate, i shot a squirrel at 100 yards and its head was gone. If your willing to spend a lil money and also you need to be a lil strong but this rifle is the best."

    Very disapointing, August 2, 2008
By Anonymous Reviewer from Farmington Hills, MI

"The crosshairs are rotated slightly. The gun was completely non functional. At first I thought I just didn't cock it far enouigh. So I folded it until the barrel was stopped by hitting the rest of the rifle. It was riduculous. The barrel was nearly 180 degrees. It still did not cock.
I was excited to see what sucha fast pelet gun was like, but now I am very dissapointed. After reading these reviews will not try for another one and will stick with america made."

    Good Shooter, January 22, 2008
    By wtcmedic911 from maine

"I purchased the rifle at the bargain cave in person without reading reviews first. Was more then a little apprehensive trying it. Its a lot of money for a wall hanger if it doesn't shoot. The temperatures were 15 degrees when i sighted it in. i measured out the 20 yards and set the scope to med. power on a small paper target. took only a few shots to sight in with the ball bearing tipped pellets. then used the super sonic pellet and its amazing, speed wise. its not as loud as a 22lr as some write. its more like a 22 cb or 22 short from a rifle. still in a city a problem but not in the woods. its shot well and consistent from a bench rest. Some doubles most shots within the size of a nickel. I think I can do better without hypothermia next time shooting. after 50+ rounds the arm was a little sore. only complaint as of yet is i really think they could have trimmed back on the weight of the rifle or especially the stock. maybe thinner would have broken but its a club to carry. trying to think of a way i can rig a sling but in the woods it might be more then a little heavy. n"

    very poor, January 10, 2008
    By jamesmcc from sc

"First of all, let me start from the beginning. I get the gun with a scope that's about to fall apart before i shoot it. Then i take the one off they sent me and put another scope on. The day i got it, i put threadlocker on all the screws and let it set up over night. Next day i shoot it and try to zero it in. Not going to happen after 50 shots. Never even shot in the same place, not once. The thing is i know what im doing here. Ive got a 10,000 dollar gun collection. Thats anything from a 7 mag to a 30-30 and then some ok. Im what you could call a connoisseur so to speak! That is don't waste your time or your money!"

not sooo bad, November 7, 2007
    By bigpep from hebron,connecticut

"well let me start off by saying that i was skeptical about buying this rifle...i read the other reviews and got discouraged.. but after buying it and shooting it a few hundred times i got a1-2 inch group at 50 yards.i was very impressed with the rifle except for one thing... this rifle weighs a heaping 10.5lbs...which is very heavy for an air rifle...it doest bother myself so much but it would bother younger kid. but the power in this rifle is immense.. it can easily take down varmints such as squirrels, raccoons, possums.it can even take down turkey with a skilfully placed shot.over all i am very pleased with this purchase and would recomend this to any serious small game hunter!"

    Great power, poor scope/mount, October 4, 2007
    By jimzz430 from Massachusetts

"I have fired my Hunter Extreme about 200 times and am very impressed with the power. My only complaint regarding this air rifle is the mounting of the scope. After having the scope fall off twice and then snugging up the mounting bolts as tight as is reasonably possible without stripping them out, I have now had the recoil pin on the base of the mount shear off. Somewhat frustrating as I now have had to fabricate my own pin using a set screw I have turned down the lower radius on. I will contact BSA for a replacement pin. Overall though a very nice rifle, the scope mount could use a little reworking though."

    Gamo optics, September 17, 2007
By WhiteRino from From California, love fishing, and hunting,

"I have not had the oportunity to give the gun a chance to speak for itself. The first time I fired the rifle, the cross hairs in the scope rotated a bit, I fired it again and they moved even more. I have now sent it back to Cabelas for an exchange but am a bit worried that this may happen again. The reviews I have read after the purchase don't favor the scope. If the gun performs well then maybe a new scope is needed instead of what the manufacturer supplies."

Gamo Hunter Extreme, August 15, 2007
    By cori from Brandywine MD

"I bought this gun about two weeks ago and mounted a leupold 6-18-x40 scope,a harris bipod 6-9inch,and put a pellet holder on the rifle. So far I have killed many game in those two weeks including crows, grownhogs and a red fox with the JSB predator pellets. It took two shots for the groundhog which im sure the first put him down but the second just to make sure. For the fox just one head shot put him down and both were at 30yds.This is a great air rifle for peaple who love hunting or getting rid of those pest."

    Awesome Gun, July 9, 2007
    By ReidM

"This is by far the best pellet gun I have bought/used. Im not sure why other people are having problems with theres but I have had none so far. Shot a duck at 80yrds on 6zoom with PBA and it went straight through. Although the only thing that was kind of annoying was sighting it in, it took about me about 45shots. I personally like crow hunting with it."

Gamo Hunter Extreme Air Rifle, June 13, 2007
    By DannyR from McCall, Idaho

"The air rifle itself is excellent. The scope mount is a piece of junk. You can not keep the scope mounted to the gun due to the recoil of the air rifle. Gamo needs to upgrade the quality of the scope mount to equal the air rifle."
