"It appears to work fairly well. Not sure I like the statement to keep it off the outside of a rifle, some always seems to get elsewhere. This stuff is somewhat sticky which makes it kind of uncomfortable to use in the field(the sticky is a benefit in the barrel as it coats all surfaces and stays there). I'm not sure if I should praise another product in this review but the "Sharp shoot r wipe out" works awesome if your not in a hurry!"

"Used it on some really old guns incl Mod 12, Mod 50, Manlicker and it worked very well in getting out the old stuff. had to use a couple of passes after letting the barrel on the Model 50 soak but it did remove the powder fowling."

"I shoot a lot of copper out of my .375 H&H. The bullets I am using for range practice leave quite a bit of residue behind. Using TM, I no longer require the use of ammonia based copper cleaners to remove the residue. This stuff is much less potentially corrosive and the fumes are bearable. It also works well in lead removal from my .41 and .44 magnums. I'll order another bottle when this one gets low. It is an excellent product."
