"Poles worked great, very adjustable and have good handles on them. Would of given them 5 stars but the attachments on the bottom are a little cheesey and I have not used them enough to determine the quaLITY. OVERALL SEEM TO BE A GOOD PRODUCT."

"I purchased this pole for medium to heavy hiking. The second time I used it, the center section would not extend. No matter what I did, it will not seperate. Hopefully this is a defect they can fix."

Trekker Hiking Staff, May 12, 2009
    By mommy42 from Montana

"I bought this to use as a stretching bar while on vacation. I tested it out at home first to make sure it was going to work. I"m happy with the performance - it was easy to open and close and is sturdy enough for me to use in a "windmill" type of stretch. I like that it folds down to approximately 2 feet. It will fit easily into my luggage.
Great product! I have not used it while walking or hiking yet - but I may do that this summer."

"This staff will satisfy most casual walkers. The length is adjustable and holding the staff is quite comfortable. The staff gives a feeling of security and the ability to avoid tripping on steps or rocks. You can also use the staff to point out items of interest to friends who are walking with you."

    By JK12 from CA

"I used this walking stick on one hike and then it never worked again. The middle telescoping section is jammed in and I cannot get it to extend regardless of how I twist it or pull it. So now the walking sticks extend only at the bottom section and are now tall enough only for children. I received the walking sticks as a gift; however, I still feel like they are a waste. They are very temperamental."

Trekker Hiking Staff, February 16, 2009
By 2626KATHY2626 from St. Marys GA

"Walking had become extremely difficult for me because of the pain in my knees. I swayed from left to right which made the pain worse. I had been walking with a cane which helped me a little. A friend had me try her hiking staffs and I immediately order two. Now I can walk with out swaying back and forth and my knees hardly bother me at all."

Trekker hiking poles, January 27, 2009
By Geoffrey from Upstate New York

"Great poles for the money. I used them snowshoeing and they performed very nicely. I did not check the compass in the handle for accuracy, nor would I rely on it. I carry a regular field compass for that. Anyway, a good buy !"

"It was a pleasant surprise to have this included with my pack. I liked the way the shock absorber worked. I am still getting used to using a staff but was glad to have it to come down off the mountain, definitely saved the old knees. I may order a second one for the tougher climbs."

"I LOVE this hiking staff. I climbed Cascade and Porter Mountains during Tropical Storm Hanna without this, and regretted it the whole day. I don't venture into the Adirondacks without it. It's as good or better then many of the higher priced staffs."
