Deluxe Tent Cot,
June 27, 2009
By Acornacresfrom Eagle Point, Oregon
"It's was a wonderful present for Father's Day from the kids and me.It took us quite a while to save up enough money just for the tent. We ordered it early so it would get here in time and he could put it together a few times before he left for the John Day rafting trip. Too bad I wasn't informed of the FREE shipping coming up."

cute, comfy and just what I wanted,
May 26, 2009
By dolphinhuggerfrom Tybee Island, Georgia
"I love this tent/cot. The only reason I did not give 5 stars as the instructions for putting it up were hard to decipher and not real obvious. It took me longer than I thought it should. Maybe next time, it won't. It is very high quality and feels like it will last."

tent cot,
May 26, 2009
By staceyshenandoahvalleyfrom Shenandoah Valley, VA
"I bought your tent cot for my 6 yr old daughter who has Cerebral Palsy. We use it for 2 things! A travel bed for her to use in motels and also for her to hang out in outside while we are camping to keep the bugs off and she likes laying down. I'm sure it will be used in the near future for its intended use. I though the price was steep but it has Cabela's quality. Wish it would have came with a cot mat."

deluxe cot tent,
May 6, 2009
By midnightraider1957from williston fl.
"I recieved the deluxe cot tent and immediatly used it to go hunting for a few days and I was very impressed with how fast and easy it was to set up, it only took about 5 min. to set up, and it was very roomy and comfortable as I purchased the double cot tent, it is very easy to get in and out of and beats having to set up a large tent for just a few days and has plenty of room to move around in inside, and if it rains u are off the ground and don't have to worry about water getting inside. it is waterproof and has a rain fly that fits over the top and keeps rain from soaking through and also has a rain flap with poles so that u can get in and out of he tent with out water getting inside andgetting yr bedding wet, I'm very glad I made this purchase and will enjoy it for yrs to come and I know that every one else will also. midnight raider, fl."

Great Cot.,
April 21, 2009
By HRDunganfrom Randy in God's Country North East Texas
"Seems to be an excellent product. I am currently using it as a place to sleep inside my barn on my blueberry farm. Seems to be of excellent quality materials. The netting is excellent and does a great job of keeping out the bugs. Very roomy like all the pockets on the inside. The only negative I see is the thing is very heavy. I think the weight comes with the quality of the materials. Great buy!"

Compared with Kamp-Rite Tent Cot,
April 14, 2009
By Graymalkinfrom Roanoke, VA
"It's a fairly hard call. Comparing the Cabela's Double with the Kamp-Rite Tent Cot Double, the Cabela's model is considerably heavier - 20 pounds to be exact. Dimensionally the same, with the exception of 4" greater height for the Kamp-Rite. The roof of the Cabela's is not unlike a hammock, in that it "dips," collecting rainwater, whereas the Kamp-Rite has a dome design so rain rolls off. The Cabela's is more solid; at 20# heavier it should be! After comparing both camping, I decided on the Kamp-Rite. My wife also preferred the Kamp-Rite. We wanted something more convenient for overnights and weekend trips than our cabin tent and queen-size inflatable mattress (we're at the age where "roughing it" is a romantic memory). Although 36# is not "comfortable" to pack a few hundred yards on occasion to a good fishing campsite, it beats 56# (an old backpack external frame makes totin' a LOT easier). I rate the Cabela's model with four stars because it is very well made and sturdy, but the weight and roof design are a minus. I'd be happy owning either brand, but after trying both, I think, for our use, we made the right decision with our Kamp-Rite Tent Cot."

Cabela's single deluxe tent cot,
April 9, 2009
By Uralbikefrom Chino Valley, Az.
"My cot ten was just delivered, I didn think that the over all bag was so big and heavy. I got this for my RZR side by side for out in the mountain camping. It just fits on the back of my ATV which was the main reason I purchased it. It's well made product. I did set it up in the living room to see how it want and did OK. But I wish it wasn't so big for my ATV. Just lucky I have enough room for it on the back."

Deluxe Tent Cot review,
April 7, 2009
By Robosharkerfrom Houston, TX
"I just bought this tent cot and used it for a trip down to the beach this past weekend. It was very easy to set up and was very comfortable to sleep in. I am very pleased with this purchase. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because its very big, bulky and heavy. But overall, its made of good quality materials, comes with a nice case, stakes, rain shield. It definitely beats sleeping on the ground in a tent. Set up is very easy and so is disassembly. Definitely recommend."

River camping,
April 1, 2009
By GrandRivTripfrom Colorado
"I purchased the tent cot to take on a 26 day river trip down the grand canyon. I then had a dry bag made to fit it. Twenty six days of rigging a boat in the morning and then de-rigging at night the last thing i wanted was to spend a lot of time setting up camp. The tent cot met all of my expectations . Of the 26 days we had rain on 10. The tent cot didn't leak until about day 8,Which was in the middle of four straight days of rain. this was the same storm that dumped snow on Las vegas. Incidentally all the tents started leaking after so much rain. I just Put some clothes under the drip and then slept very well. Over all the tent cot performed very well ,even with all that abuse,It still looks like and preforms like new."

Fixer Upper,
February 7, 2009
By Rainynitefrom SW Utah
"I'm getting one of these before spring. A neighbor has one and loves it. He has the same problem with a lot of you about the rain collecting though it doesn't rain here often. He's an aircraft mechanic and I had to look at him in amazement and claim what a huge baboon he was. Walked over, took a piece of aluminum tubing, bevel rounded the ends inward and popped it right between the top cross poles. Now he has a ridgeline. , no more collecting water. Also its perfect for ATV camping. Just slide the longpole over your flag/whip antenna. And if you're in a vehicle there's always room for a 4 or so foot piece of aluminum. Believe it or not, everything can be improved upon."

Deluxe Tent Cot,
December 23, 2008
By Donnagfrom East Texas
"The cot is a breeze to set up. It literally can be assembled in under three minutes. There is plenty of room inside and the rain cover not only helps keep things dry but also helps with warmth. There is easy access from each side of the cot/tent. I bought this for my husband who camps out alot with his buddies but also has a snoring problem. Now, he won't be keeping everyone awake! He can just pitch his cot/tent away from the group and everyone will get a good nights rest!"

Wind,
November 25, 2008
By Pottsfrom CO Potts Eureka, CA.
"I do not own a tent cot but: during a pig hunt at lake Sonoma Ca. some other hunters had one. They set up camp and went hunting as we were pulling up camp it was raining and starting to blow. They did not stake the tent cot down or tie it to anything and it ended up in the lake along with his sleeping bag. I retrived the tent cot being the nice guy that I am. And tied it to a tree. I gave it 4 stars for the design and the bug free sleeping that means a lot."
