"This is the 3rd one of these we've bought. The first is at least 2 years old and is still going strong. The other 2 have been for gifts to friends and family that have seen and admired ours.
Temps seem very accurate, and I love having it hold the high and low temps from the last 24 hours. Battery life is excellent and is easy to change."

"This is a nice unit. It is easiest to read when placed near eye-level on the window. It didn't stick real well at first but I installed it in the middle of winter. It is a great value."

"I as a little worried about ordering this thermometer because of the negative reviews, but did so anyways becuase of the great value. The temp is easy to read and accurate. The min and max temps are nice. Mounting was easy as long as the window is clean and you follow the directions. Overall a great product that is very useful."

"Therometer works great and very easy to install. Now the buts, don't install in a window that gets direct sunlight as the reading will be greatly effected. If you want to know the temperature at night place it on a window, door, porch or deck with outside light because once its dark you cannot see it or read it from inside."

"In my case it appears that the thermometer readings may be affected by the temperature of the window to which it is attached. Since the provision of adhesive suggests that window applications are anticipated it would also appear that all such attachments might have a similar result."

"This is a rare disappointment from the catalog. The thermometer MUST be mounted correctly on the first attempt at proper eye level (as well as truly level), or else the display becomes an annoying reminder of a bad installation job. Removing the display to correct the positioning weakens the adhesion forever. Once I got the thermometer placed correctly, the display faded into uselessness. Oh yes, you cannot see the display at night."

Great idea...Poor execution,

"This product was junk and I am disappointed that Cabelas carries it. It was a gift. One of the tabs of the cover plate broke off as I put the battery in, the other as I hung it after using double faced tape to fix the first break. Before I boxed it up to return it, I noticed that the thing was consistently 6 degrees warmer than the real temperature. I checked it against our thermostat and a thermometer I had outside. Save yourself some time and look at other thermometers."
