"The thumb screw makes the shaft wobble and the support rod tends to unscrew from the wobble. Having fallen into the water several times. The wing continues to turn even after submersion. Overall I like the product."

Great effect in Spread..Terrible Quality,
January 2, 2009
By muskratmikey
from Henderson, KY
|
"They look awesome in the spread and really attract ducks but..........4 of 5 quit working after 6 or fewer hunts. Switches are terrible, the battery compartments fall open. Function is completely unreliable. I have to return 4 of them for exchange because they do not work after only a few hunts.
Don't buy unless you like lemons. I am very dissappointed in the design and quality built into this product...a huge dissappointment.
If they redesign them to be durable, I'd be all over it and love the product.
Waterfowling requires quality or it just won't cut it, the manufacturer should know this. They are waterfowlers....very dissapointing!!!"

It Works,
December 2, 2008
By AXISG5
from Woodslee, Ontario
|
"I made it out 3 times this year and used the Wing Thang for about 11 hours total , all on the same set of batteries. Nobody else in my area is using the Wing Thang and it seems the Widgeon are very attracted to this spinner as compared to the larger ones. Other statements about quality issues pevented me from giving 5 stars but the idea is great."

Poer Switch a little cheap,
October 5, 2008
By gharty
from Southern California
|
"This is a great product if you want to add some motion in your spread. I really like it because it doesn't look like all the other spinning wing decoys which the birds are very familiar with by the time they get to the end of the flyway where I shoot. Down side is that if you shoot over deeper water it's tough to use. I just use a 1/4" PVC pipe I have spray painted camo and submerge it and then stick the Wing Thang in that. The power switch is a little flimsy and I can tell it will probably go out on my soon."

Works well but breaks easily,
February 18, 2008
By ttttttttt
from Sacramento, CA

"These things definitely bring in ducks, especially late in the season when they are weary of the big flashers. But I bought two this year and they were both broken within 2 weeks (3 or 4 hunts). The blade gets wobbly and the battery connections seem to fail."

Wing Thang,
February 12, 2008
By thunderlips
|
"I've only used it once so far, so i can't give it 5 stars just yet, cause i don't know about its durability. I bought it cause my motorized duck was broke down and i didn't want to spend the money on a new one at the time. i figured i'd be willing to spend the minimal amount on the wing thang to give myself an extra advantage. I was hunting an area that has a lot of competition and the pot hole i was hunting in was a little hard to see. i flashed the wing thang a couple of times at distant ducks and it seemed to bring them closer. there was one instance for sure that they made a definite turn toward me when they were working something else. i just kept it by my side all day and flashed it when ducks were around. you can stab it in the ground, but when you're hunting water, that's probably only good during the early light hour or so."

The poison thang,
January 31, 2008
By poison
from Walnut Grove, CA
|
"Compact and light for transport. Easy to set up and take down. Adds a whole new element to the lander decoys or shallow water decoys. Keeps the birds looking in different directions for movement instead of fixing on one robo. Gets them in nice and close before I pour the poison to em'."

"As productive as this unit is for ducks, we use them for opening weekend of dove season, well out in front of our dekes. Doves just pull towards it. We set up 40 yards apart, one with, one without, the with shooter got 3 times the action as the non user."

Duck Magnet,
January 16, 2008
By bombbuddy
from Richmond, VA
|
"Bought two Wing Thangs for duck hunting.
Pros: Lighter and smaller than a regular MoJo. Easy to deploy and use. AA batteries easy to replace.
They worked great. Ducks seemed to "flock" to the 'Thangs.
Cons: Switch is very stiff and was difficult to use with insulated gloves. Must be vertical to operate. Needed to contact MoJo and order extension poles (like the Duck uses) so I could use the 'Thang in the marsh.
Can't wait to try them during dove season. They make a spread look alive."

MOJO,

"I find that geese will decoy to this item sometimes and sometimes they won't but it works great does what it's suppose to do but you have to read the birds I've had them dive to it and I've had them flare from it I carry this product to the field everytime I go out and if it gets slow I use this item as a last ditch effort to get the birds in."

Great Movement For Doves AND Ducks,
December 30, 2007
By REDFEATHERS
|
"For a few years my friends and I used the Mojo Wing Thang spinners for doves in a field near my house. Then one day something incredible happened, a big bunch of wood ducks locked in and landed on our spinners we had in the field. Every time we set up out there those woodies ended up coming buy and amazing us. Duck season came and we put a stop to those visits. Now we use those Wing Thangs on the outskirts of our spread and it really pulls in the ducks. We use them with remote control mojo mallards on the inside and it is deadly! Great, affordable, movement."
