"I am one that can not wear or come in contact with wool. I was given a pair of socks at a Cabela's store when I asked what they had that was not Wool. I did not like the two sock methods. I tried these socks on warm and cold days antelope hunting and a cold and damp goose hunt days. What a GREAT Sock. They keep your feet warm and dry. Even if your feet sweat they come out great feeling. Not the wet clam feeling you get from cotton. They also let your boot breath so the moisture does not remain in the boot. The fit is great and supportive. You do not get the falling down of the sock when moving over a long days hunt. The sock has great padding to help your feet absorb the impact for walking and running. Your walking is like a feeling of a soft glove. And the fit, is fitted in the middle of your foot, so you do not have this bulky feel in your boot. After about 12 washes they are still going strong. I liked this sock so much that a bought a large supply of socks. Not just once but two large orders and will be ordering again. I also gave some to friends to try with the same results. You can not go wrong with these socks, for I wish they had these in a black sock color so I could wear them as a dress sock to work."

"Overall my new Cabela's CoolMax socks worked great on my Antelope trip this year. It was 105 degrees during the day and I covered alot of miles with out a hitch. These socks are so comfortable I have been wearing them around the house. Although any quality sock is not going to keep your feet cool during these conditions, my feet stayed dry from persperation and comfortable when I needed them too."

"I am the Chief of Police of a small Ohio Village, in other words a working Police officer. I wear them every working day. They help support my feet and after a ten to twelve hour day my feet do not hurt, and they are dry, I could not say that with other socks that I have tried."

"My initial thoughts as I slipped on the socks were disappointing. The total lack of any arch support/snugness was lacking compared to competitors socks. Sure enough, the socks were loose and bunched up in the 2X I wore them. Also, the entire sock was rather loose, even though I ordered the correct size. It was not loose from being too long in the foot area, but rather just fit like a cotton sock that had been around awhile. Unfortunately, I ordered 4 pairs...fortunately, Cabelas has a great return policy for honest customers, and I was able to return them. If you only wear the socks to sit at a desk or drive, you may be fine. Don't get them for outdoor activities, you will be disappointed."
