Helps in hiding your blind,
February 11, 2008
By hawk125from Northwest Indiana
"Great product a bit messy and lots of work, but once the work is complete, it makes your layout blind look great out in the field. Have recommended this to others. Be sure to mud it up a bit before opening day, has a little glare to it."

Killer weed not so Killer!,
February 9, 2008
By Lumpk
"Purchased the Killer Weed Kit for my Finisher blind. Was not really impressed with the grass at all. The different colors that were included I did not think was all that great. I usually use the natural grass, etc. that is around my blind set up but gets wet, messy, heavy, etc. Thought the Killer Weed would be better and the colors did not blend in and the one that did I did not have enough of. Blind stood out more that blended in, tried to pack it back in the bag and could not. Wound up throwing it all away when I got home. Will continue to use natural grass, etc. from now on."

Invisible,

By tunatarhyfrom Westminster, Maryland
"This blind is great. I purchased this especially for the canopy top which you can view birds 360 degrees. Very comfortable and the KW-1 pattern looks great. I have also bought the Killer Weed All Terrain Grass Blind Kit to dress up my laydown. This is key since once you do this.. melting into your surrounds is the result. Birds won't notice you and feel comfortable with this purchase. Another great product from Avery."

Killer Weed - The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly,
January 25, 2008
By GotGeesefrom Wilmington, Delaware.
"I used the All-Terrain version on several Powerhunters, a Migrator and other blind brand. I used scissors to cut each color in the kit into 12-inch bundles. I then combined a little of each color into bundles and secured them with plastic tie wraps. I used mostly the tan color, a little less straw color, and even less dark brown. I saved the dark green for another blind I use in a (non-corn) field location. It took at least 4-hours per blind to completely cover one and it took at least two full packages of the Killer Weed to cover a Powerhunter. Before I cinched the zip tie around the mixed color bundle, I inserted a second, open zip tie layed longitudinally along with the KW. I zipped the bundle tight and then used the second tie wrap to secure the bundle to the stubble straps. If I need to remove a bundle from the blind I cut one tie wrap and the original bundle is still intact. The Good: My blinds disappeared in the cut corn fields we hunt! I did not even need to spice up the blind with corn stubble! They looked GREAT and we absolutely put the smack-down on geese this year. The Bad: It took a minimum of two bundles per blind and many, many hours of time to conceal. Buy your wife dinner before you begin the concealment process and make sure you're caught-up on your household chores. The Ugly: The Winter Wheat version looked terrible in the fields of Maryland and Delaware I hunt. Perhaps I got a poor dye lot but they did not look anything like the late season winter wheat fields in MD and DE."

Killer Weed,
October 13, 2007
By widgeon3from Daleville, VA
"I used the killer weed with my Cabela's ultimate layout blind. The killer weed really made the blind look more realistic. I feel the blind blends in good, but with the killer weed installed, the blind looks really good. I used snap ties to secure the killer weed to the straps on my layout blind and that seems to be holding up fairly well."

Killer Weed,
August 7, 2007
By JKINGfrom Dayton, OH
"I used the killer weed layout blind kit to dress up some military camo netting, which, I also purchased from cabela's. The end result was great. I use the netting to help hide my boat when I'm in my duck blind, and I also use it like a blanket when I'm hunting in Fields for dove and geese. The Killer Weed is easy to tie and you can blend the colors the way you want."

Avery Killer weed kit,
July 24, 2007
By madsamfrom Portage, Indiana
"The kit was not exactly what I was expecting. I was buying it to cover my Cabelas blind. Without a guide or instructions I started to cover the blind. In the beginning it looked like there would be more than enough material to do the job, but I needed to suppliment with more material. I wanted it to cover really well. The kit I purchased was the all terrain model. I think it needs more tan and green and less of the vary dark brown. I bought a second kit for my brother, I will see how he covers his blind. I am almost afraid to lay it in the back yard for fear that I won't be able to find it again."

Killer weed not as pictured,
February 9, 2007
By getthepaperfrom California Flyway
"I was disappointed by the product. It doesn't look anything like the picture. I expected stubble-colored material perhaps with cut stalks embedded. What comes in the package is a variety of colors of paper grass....green, grey, wheat, brown, etc., each as a separate bundle. The colors are not really appropriate for the corn stubble I was hoping to match and I question the durability of the prodcut. One or two uses and you'd be looking for another product. Don't get me wrong, I love Cabelas and do not hold them responsible, and am thankful they let me return it, but the product just doesn't seem like it will last."

Avery Killer Weed,
January 10, 2007
By duksnbuksfrom Southern Michigan
"Was not impressed with the killer weed setup. This is a temporary cover for your blind. No clips or ties, just different color camo strings, most of which will probly be lost in the field. Also, if you want coverage like the pictures show, you may want to buy 2-3 sets of this stuff. Sorry, just not what i expected!!

Avery Killer Weed Proformace worth the aggravation,
November 29, 2006
By Gobble4mefrom Pennsylvania
"I recently purchased an Avery Killer Weed blind kit in winter wheat from Cabelas. I have mixed reviews for this product. The final result was does look spectacular. The material is very realistic and the coloring is superb. You will have no trouble concealing your blind in any field with this product. However the process needed to get to the end result were a little disappointing and very time consuming. The material comes in two bundles per pack. Each bundle consisting of loose strands of killer weed material. This material is not easily attached to the side of your blind for fast installation and removal. As a matter of fact the process is very long and tedious."

"I use this product on my Field Blinds and on my Duck Boat. Seems to work nicely for both applications. I use the appropriate colored artificial camo, a long with some of the natural surounding habitat for quick, effective concealment."
