Better than duct tape,

"When my convertible developed a small tear, I was told it was a choice between ugly duct tape or a new expensive top. A sailmaker suggested a Tear-Aid patch, instead. It has been in place for at least six months and has survived winter rains and summer heat, and is holding up and adhering well. Being transparent, and flexible enough to conform to the little ripples of the roof material, it looks much, much better than a patch of duct tape."

"These patches are very easy to use and very strong. I used the Type B kit to patch a tear in a vinyl high chair back. The patch material is easy to cut to exactly what is needed. There is very little waste and the grip on the peel-and-stick is impressive. I also purchased the Type A kit to patch a tear in my husband's waders and it worked just like the packaging promised. There has been no signs of the patch failing to hold even with extended underwater exposure. I highly recommend this product and plan to keep both kits on hand for quick household repairs."

"I recently climbed Mt Kilimanjaro Tanzania Africa and one of my companions air mattress went flat 2 days into the trek. He did not have a patch kit but I loaned him mine. The kit certainly slowed the leak so the mattress would stay inflated through the night. A real sleep saver. I don't know if the continued leak was from another source or incomplete repair"

"I used the tear aid patch to fix a rip in a waterfowl jacket. It is very durable, tight, and you can barely see it. The directions warned against washing garment with patch, but I did anyway and experienced no problem."

"This stuff is a dream come true. I had two holes in my pontoon Boat and The replacement pontoons
cost about $200 each. The T-A patches fixed both holes in no , time and I re-inflated the pontoon and was back on the water.
ONE PROBLEM, I went to two stores, Richfield Wis. and Hoffman Estates, IL., both Fishing & Fly Fishing Dept Personal did not know about the product. I found the Tear-Aid in the Camping Dept. It should be in both fishing Depts."

"I had to fix a pair of waders that my son is using..and it seems to be working fine. I would suggest that you cut extra material and allow the patch to overlap the tear. Make sure you do not get it stuck on your fingers and use caution when pealing the backing off."
